Sharp Pain In Nose Cartilage
It will heal: Nose cartilage does heal on it's own. This is great if your nose is straight but if your nose has been broken then the bones may make the softer cartilage take an abnormal shape and then your nose may heal in that abnormal shape. So if you have any injuries to your nose I would see an ENT and have it evaluated. ...Read more

Why does my nose cartilage hurt (the bottom of the bone)? I have pressed it, did I accidentally damage (busied it) but I did not press it so hard?
Hard to damage: Cartilage, since it's a bit more forgiving than bone. The base of the bone is what's connected to the skull, and you are probably alright, just experiencing some inflammation, and swelling from the bruise. If it continues, have it checked by your pcp, so you can manage the pain. Meanwhile, if it's acute, ice packs help decompress inflammation and pain. ...Read more

It is painful: Fracturing the bone is more painful than fracturing the cartilage. Whether it's due to trauma or nasal surgery, you would be given pain medication that you would take for 4-5 days, on average, to make you more comfortable. What would cause a sharp pain in my head than follow by a nose bleeds has only happened 2 times in the last 6 months
Epistaxis or bloody noses can be caused by a variety of things and is worth having it looked into by your primary care doctor or an ear, nose and throat doctor (otolaryngologist). Seeing that your nosebleeds follow a sharp headache, you should also be evaluated for high blood pressure since this can lead to nosebleeds that are difficult to stop.
In the meantime, here are a few nose bleed tips. If your nose starts to bleed, pinch the soft part of your nose below the bridge, not the bridge to stop the bleeding. Now keep pinching for 5 minutes. Set a timer or look at a watch because it will feel like forever. And no peeking! That will stop 95% of all nosebleeds. ...Read more
