What preceded pain?: Did you strain to defecate? Was there blood on the toilet paper? Assuming no other trauma at your age the most common cause is a hard stool tearing the rectum. It should heal on its own in a few days. If this is the cause increase the fiber in your diet and increase your fluid intake. See a doctor: You should see a physician as soon as possible. Black stool, especially if you are taking a lot of ibuprofen, can represent a bleed in GI track, normally in your stomach. While the pain does not seem to fit that classically, you may have a bleed somewhere else. Any peptobismol use?-also causes black stool.
