Couple thots: You could possibly be suffering more than one problem. Head and eye consistent with a migraine syndrome, and numbness does occur transiently in classical migraine auras. But the intensity you describe brings up question of local peripheral nerve compression, which indeed might be unrelated. I think a neurologist can get you answers and treatment. ...Read more

Trigeminal neuralgia: You are right. Trigeminal neuralgia pain is sharp, lancinating usually with a trigger point. Touching the face on the trigger point will trigger the sharp pain. Pain on the face from any cause is mediated through the trigeminal nerve though. ...Read more

Ear pain: Hello, I find it unlikely that your ear pain is coming from vasomotor rhinitis or sinusitis. Do you have pain to touch or pull on your outer ear? If so, you probably have otitis externa, a deeper pain may be an otitis media however that would be accompanied with a fever and you being ill. It may be a referred pain from your jaw.
