Abdominal discomfort & occasional sharp pain in belly button area. 10 wks pregnant. Could it be gas? Constipation? What can I do?
Exam needed: Most likely a small umbilical hernia with omentum caught in the muscle defect (causing pain). Not urgent, unless pain gets worse. Meckel's diverticulu: There is a concept called referred pain. Pain felt at the belly button could be generated anywhere in his gut from just outside of his stomach to his mid-transverse colon-in other words, not very specific location. I am having a sharp pain behind my belly button it is a constant pain but seems to worsen when I sit or poke my belly button or around the area
Sharp pain slightly above belly button. Not severe but noticeable. Doesn't worsen with movement or position change. No pain when pressing area.
I hve a sharp pain in the pelvic area about 3-5s above my prvate part and below my belly button (center of them) about 5hrs ago but now its gone.
Needs checkup: the pain can come from various things if associated with nausea, throwing up or diarrhea could be start of a gastrointenstinal infection, if the pain is assocciated with eating or fever could be early appendicitis if the pain is early and may become more focal later, either way you need to be checked if the pain persists develops fever or nausea or loss of appetite ...Read more
