Could be a lot of: Different things - pain on breathing usually denotes some inflammation with movement. Blood clots, aortic aneurysm, acid reflux, hernia, referred pain from organ damage. Not sure.: Without more detail and a physical exam, it is impossible to tell. One simple thing to try would be to take a chewable antacid tablet, such as Tums (calcium carbonate), (calcium carbonate) when you have the pain, to see if it helps temporarily.
