I'm having some sharp abdominal pain that comes and goes... I just found out that im pregnant. Are these signs of miscarriage?

Belly Pain (Definition)

Abdominal pain is pain that you feel anywhere between your chest and groin. This is often referred to as the stomach region or belly. Almost everyone experiences pain in the abdomen at one time or another. Most of the time, it is not caused by a serious medical problem. There are many organs in the abdomen. You may also have a generalized infection, such as the flu or strep throat, that affects many parts of your body. The intensity of the pain does not always reflect the seriousness of the condition causing the pain. Severe abdominal pain can be from mild conditions, such as gas or the cramping of viral gastroenteritis. On the other hand, relatively mild pain or no pain may be present with life-threatening conditions, such as cancer of the ...Read more

Adhesions?: If there's going to be a serious complication from tubal ligation, it usually occurs in the first two or three weeks after surgery. However, you can develop scar tissue from any surgery which can cause symptoms later on. You can also develop a hernia in the area of an incision. Best to see a doc and get checked out. ...Read more

Burning lower abdominal pain that doesn't dissipate after I go, along with sharp lower left abdominal pain that comes and goes, possibly crohn's?

Possibly: You should definitely consult your primary care physician. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are definitely on the list, however there are are conditions that could do this as well. Based on lab tests, stool tests, a physical exam, and possibly some imaging, your doctors will decide whether you need a colonoscopy, which is a more definitive test for chronic inflammation in the bowel. ...Read more
