Sex In Prostatitis
First off — why would you want your partner to have the risk of acquiring the infection that is causing your prostatitis?
Secondly — it will hurt.
You can do whatever you want, you will survive. But I would urge you to reconsider and hold off for the time being. You'll be more comfortable and your partner will thank you later. ...Read more
Received oral sex that has led to prostatitis. All std negative including m gen. What could have caused it if not by std? Am I contagious?
Pelvic pain?: Prostatitis is not due to any STD, and oral sex is not known to cause prostatitis. Those events probably are unrelated. Or maybe you have chronic pelvic pain syndrome, which causes symptoms similar to prostatitis; read the very good Wikipedia article. CPPS is uncomfortable but harmless. Your local NHS GUM clinic would be an excellent option for expert care for it. Antibiotics probably won't help. ...Read more
Having sex when you have bacterial prostatitis is safe? Will it effect my partner if left untreated or will it pass to my partner if I'm on antibiotic
Probably safe but...: If the diagnosis is correct, no problem. Bacterial prostatitis is caused by bacteria that are normal in the female genital tract. However, bacterial prostatitis is uncommon in young men, and STDs like NGU, chlamydia or gonorrhea can be misdiagnosed as prostatitis. If at risk for STD (other partners), need STD tests. If your antibiotics cover STDs, your partner probably is protected. Discuss w doc. ...Read more

If I got prostatitis from oral sex. Can I pass it on to someone else. Chlmydia, gon, mycoplasma gen UU negative. Really worried I could infect my wife?
Consider it so: Get in to see doc and get treated. Avoid "homework" until your doc thinks you are clear. Tell the spouse you got this possible staph infection from not peeing enough, or not having sex enough, or whatever else you come up with. She may suspect the truth but if you give her something that might be true she may spare you. ...Read more
I get conflicting info ;can chronic bacterial prostatitis cause problems w/partner thru sex? I was treated w/antibiotics but symptoms are now chronic
No risk, but...: No risk, but chronic bacterial prostatitis is rare at your age. Is the diagnosis certain? Nonbacterial prostatitis far more common, or chronic pelvic pain syndrome (same symptoms, easily confused with prostatitis). None of these is sexually transmitted and none risky for sex partners. However, sometimes nongonococcal urethritis is misdiagnosed as prostatitis. NGU is an STD and can be harmful for partners ...Read more
Doctor said if u have prostatitis & you do sex/masturbation it may aggravate your prostate. A male can't do sex in his life if he has prostatitis?
Despite not having sex for quite a long time I ejaculated frequently through masturbation. How come I've been diagnosed with congestive prostatitis?
See answer: So-called "congestive prostatitis" usually reserved for those men with symptoms of prostatitis, possible hx of prostate fluid urethral discharge due to overflow, a "boggy" feeling gland on digital exam, and usually (but not always) associated with and due to infrequent ejaculation (sexual and mastubation). Some "stimulated" men with regular ejaculation just produce high amounts of prostate fluid. ...Read more
One of the consequences of non-bacterial prostatitis is lowered intensity of orgasm and overall sensations during sex. Can it be restored?
Something else?: To my knowledge, prostatitis doesn't do this. Discuss other possibilities with your doctor. If the main problem is not true prostatitis, e.g. if you have chronic pelvic pain syndrome, I suppose such symptoms might result from the psychological aspects. Google CPPS (spell it out) for more information; there is a good Wikipedia article you could start with. ...Read more

I haven't had sex for a week, but last night after sex my sperm was yellow almost like mucus what can cause this. I also have prostatitis?
Okay, most likely...: The color & texture of semen vary among men — along their life from time to time, but with no clinical significance with no need to pay attention to it as long as being comfortable in sex (not overdoing) and voiding. So, it is practically unnecessary to extend and expand imagination to worry about it. For life reality? To lists of Facts of Life-1,2,&3 on the left of HOME page of www.ForMeFirst.com ...Read more

Separate problems: Nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and prostatitis are separate problems, although they have overlapping symptoms and often difficult to distinguish from one another. If you haven't been seen in one of UK's excellent NHS GUM clinics, that would be a good next step for truly expert care. Good luck! ...Read more

I'm having bacterial prostatitis(prostato-cystitist) currently on antibiotics. Can I've sex or is there any chances of infection can pass to the girl?
Prostatitis: Prostatitis is a difficult infection to treat — requiring a longer course of antibiotics. However, it can be treated and assuming you have been on antibiotics for several days — the chance of you transmitting anything is very low — The prostate helps to make some fluids that make up the ejaculate so in theory its possible. But sex/orgasm for you may make you feel better. ...Read more
I got oral sex from a female 19 days ago. No STI symptoms. I have a history of prostatitis. No DC but more BPH sx 5d ago (urinary flow). Is this STI?
Probably no STD: Oral sex is low risk for all STDs and zero risk for some. Second, "BPH symptoms" (e.g. reduced urine flow, difficulty starting or stoping urination, etc) are not caused by any STD. Check with your doctor. The only STDs that might be acquired by oral sex would cause symptoms of urethral discharge or penile sores. Without those symptoms by 19 days, you're probably OK. Check with doc if in doubt. ...Read more
