If you really want to loose weight you will , first you have to be motivated and focused for it, reduce your caloric intake ( don't eat too much junk food ) , count your calories join a gym for regular progressive exercises to burn your body fat , you will see the change. ...Read more

What causes abnormal heavy bleeding for 20days so far after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and ovarian cysts and having prostap injection?

What causes abnormal heavy bleeding for 20days so far after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and ovarian cysts and having prostap injection?

Bleeding: If you had surgery for endometriosis, that could cause your bleeding postoperatively. If you got any medications to reduce future endometriosis growth, this may cause continued bleeding as well. If you did get lupron, (leuprolide) the bleeding should diminish after 2-3 weeks and you may not have a period for 2 - 3 months. You should follow up with your doctor to discuss these symptoms. ...Read more

I'm from the UK & having laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder. Will they let me keep my gallstone?

I'm from the UK & having laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder. Will they let me keep my gallstone?

Perhaps: You can request it but I'm not sure if it's always possible. Because the gallstones are a primary reason for the surgery, the removed gallbladder and gallstones are sent to the pathologist for examination. Hopefully, they keep the gallstones after analysis so they can give it to you, especially if there are multiple stones. At least one stone will be broken so they can analyze it. Just ask the dr. ...Read more

Does laparoscopic surgery to remove scar tissue really work? Or does it just cause more scar tissue?

Does laparoscopic surgery to remove scar tissue really work? Or does it just cause more scar tissue?

Lysis of adhesions in the intra-abdominal cavity does work to relieve symptoms or obstruction in the short term, but the additional intra-abdominal operation can lead to new adhesions. It's a gamble, with management dictated by urgency of symptoms. Sometimes it just has to be done and we accept the risk of more adhesion creation. ...Read more
