Severe Spine Ache
It varies: In my experience, for two reasons. First, a spinal deformity can cause a muscular pain as the muscles try to hold the spine in a good position but battle a mechanical disadvantage. Second, the spine is loaded in an asymmetric fashion leading to early failure fo the discs leading to premature degeneration, herniations, and arthritis, all of which can certainly cause pain. Could you tell me what is the most effective pain relief for back ache caused by curved spine or worn discs?
RFA, PT, NSAIDs: Curved spine (scoliosis) and "worn discs" are extremely common in people that have no pain at all, so both of those things aren't necessarily the causes of pain. Both though, can cause pain by putting pressure on the joints in the back. A thorough evaluation by a spine specialist should be able to tell you what is causing the pain (the joints, the discs, the muscles/ligaments, etc). ...Read more

Most commonly: These things together in a younger person is a mix between a weak core, carrying extra weight and poor posture. I am assuming since you say you have worn discs, you have already had imaging? If not, consider x ray and/or MRI to illustrate any back issues. Also consider pt as a long term solution. Best of luck and i hope this helps. ...Read more

I've had really bad back ache and my doctors says I've got a curtive of the spine and a uneven pelvis what can I do?
Limb length: Limb length discrepancy may be the cause if bad enough. If one leg is more than 1 inch shorter, this results in a spinal curvature. The imbalance created can also be painful and cause arthritis over the years. Try walking around with one shoe on the shorter leg at home. See how it feels. If leg length not the problem, scoliosis may make the pelvis appear unlevel. Have a scoliosis surgeon check. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
