All my muscles hurt in my body feel like I have lifted lots of weights but I have not my upper arms hurt the most why does this happen?
Myalgia : Diffuse myalgia or muscle ache can be due to underlying medical conditions. If this is an acute problem, rhabdomyolysis should be ruled out as can rapidly lead to serious consequences such as renal failure. Dark urine may be seen. Inflammatory myopathy (e.g. Dermato-, poly- myositis) can also do this and should be ruled out since there are proximal symptoms. See your doctor for exam and labs. ...Read more

Would breaking the nerve across the chest lead to losing muscle mass in the upper arms? Would the same be true for the nerves and muscles down front?
Unlikely.: The nerves that supply the arms run through the brachial plexus, a network of nerves that run from the neck spinal cord through the axilla (near pit of the arm). If these were severed, loss of function and atrophy of the arm muscles would occur. No nerves that supply the arm run on the front of the chest. This area only has nerves to the skin, & nerve damage would result in numbness in the skin. ...Read more
I am a teenage girl with muscular arms! I am a girl, and I was wondering how I can lose muscle in the upper arms? Cause every girl has skinny arms and I don't! I don't have fat arms i juss have muscular upper arms! What should I do because I want to
Are you kidding me? Having well-defined, shapely muscles on your arms is attractive to many people. It certainly looks healthier than having little stick arms. Having a higher muscle ratio also means that you have more muscle to help burn calories. So many magazines have models on the cover who look waife like and malnourished. It give girls the idea that they are supposed to look like that.
Frankly, it sounds like you are physically fit and that your muscles help to show that. I would be thankful for your muscles as I bet that there are some girls with scrawny arms, who would prefer to have arms like yours. Take care. ...Read more
Would I know if I had cancer cachexia? I've lost a couple of pounds and feel like I have no muscles, especially in my upper arms. I'm thin.
Even when you are: Thin, losing a couple of pounds should not be of large concern. Also, we would need to determine if you truly are weak (your muscles are losing power) or if they just seem smaller/thinner. Finally, I don't believe the term cancer cachexia is applied to anyone unless they actually have been diagnosed with cancer. I am concerned about your nutrition and body weight; seek medical/nutritional consult ...Read more

Is muscle soreness in upper arms and upper thighs a part of spinal stenosis? I am not having much joint pain. 63 years of age
very good range of motion
stiffness after sitting
Common symptoms of spinal stenosis
Leg pain with walking can be caused by either arterial circulatory insufficiency or from spinal stenosis. Leg pain from either condition will go away with rest, but with spinal stenosis the patient usually has to sit down for a few minutes to ease the leg and often low back pain, whereas leg pain from vascular claudication will go away if the patient simply stops walking.
Although occasionally the leg pain and stenosis symptoms will come on suddenly, they generally develop over the course of several years. The longer a patient with spinal stenosis stands or walks, the worse the leg pain will get.
Flexing forward or sitting will open up the spinal canal and relieve the leg pain and other symptoms, but they recur if the patient gets back into an upright posture. Numbness and tingling can accompany the pain, but true weakness is a rare symptom of spinal stenosis. An older person leaning over the handle of their shopping cart while making short stumbling steps often has spinal stenosis.
Muscle soreness in upper arms could be due to cervical stenosis but there are other reasons as well, like electrolyte imbalance, side effects of medications and myopathy. Recommend seeing a specialist for final diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more
