Unwise- : Your doctor needs to see you while having symptoms. Taking abx by yourself will make it more difficult for your doctor to diagnose what is going on since 1) you may mask symptoms , 2) increase the chances of complications caused by the abx you are taking, and 3) increase the chances of developing a multi-drug resistant bacteria. In the meantime, symptomatic relief with Ibuprofen is suggested. ...Read more
