Severe pain all the time on the right side of my head, with earache and headache. What might cause it?
Migraine or vascular: If your hearing is normal, I doubt the ear is the source of the pain. There are many structures at the side of the face. These include the jaw joint, muscles that close the jaw, the teeth and gums. Inflammation of these structures can refer pain to the side of the head. Conversely, head pain can be caused by migraine, inflammation of vascular structures. See your primary doc.
Common story: Some ear infection germs multiply rapidly. They can cause buildup of pressure behind the ear drum which can break the thin tissue of the ear drum. Once the drum breaks, blood and pus can enter the ear canal and the kid usually has some immediate improvement in the pain. There are other possible causes of the bleeding, so you need to have her seen and the cause sorted out/treated.See 1 more doctor answer
Having earache in the left ear, it's intermittent and severe at times. Can I take amoxicillin until I see doctor? Pls suggest some medicine..
Unwise-: Your doctor needs to see you while having symptoms. Taking abx by yourself will make it more difficult for your doctor to diagnose what is going on since 1) you may mask symptoms, 2) increase the chances of complications caused by the abx you are taking, and 3) increase the chances of developing a multi-drug resistant bacteria. In the meantime, symptomatic relief with Ibuprofen is suggested.See 1 more doctor answer

Most likely RCT: The tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use Tylenol (acetaminophen) or NSAID for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment and treatment. Do not delay.See 2 more doctor answers
