Tendon rupture: Go see your family doc who can order ultrasound to determine if achilles tendon torn/ruptured or not. Or perhaps just calf strain. S/he can then refer you to orthopedic surgeon for appropriate intervention if necessary. Out of curiosity, have you taken an antibiotic such as Cipro (ciprofloxacin), Levaquin (levofloxacin) or similar in last 6mo-1yr? Quinolone family has been linked to tendon issues. ...Read more
