Diverticulosis: Diverticulosis can be there for a long time and do not cause symptoms. Most do not "show signs of it." Where is your persistent pain? and how many months after the colonoscopy? What else did they find on colonoscopy? And why was the colonoscopy done in the first place? I would look for what else is going on. Not saying colonoscopy is risks free, but diverticulosis is not one of my top suspects. ...Read more

Get checked: Pain in the right side could be your colon, especially since you say you are experiencing constipation. If you still have your ovaries and tubes it could also be a cyst on the ovary or tube, or a twisted ovary or tube. Also possible is a muscle spasming in your abdominal wall. Not necessarily: The cause of RUQ pain can be numerous, gallstones, peptic ulcer disease, liver problems including masses, colitis, pancreas and esophageal disorders may also present. Autoimmune hepatitis does not usually cause liver pain, the pain from a biopsy is due to irritation of the surface of the liver and musculoskeletal pain from the needle.
