Sounds like your neck muscles that extend up into your scalp are irritated. This may have been triggered when the lymph nodes rapidly enlarged. Why is another question - they respond to perceived threats to your body like infection. Moist heat, mild stretching and some ibuprofen might help. Massages good too.
