Muscle pain: Brandon, seems like you have a "pulled muscle" which can cause sharp pain when used (turning your head). At your age, it should recover completely. Use heat (like in a hot shower) and stretch. Find rhomboid muscle stretch on youtube or some site and you will be fine. If you mean the pain was underneath your scapula, the muscle underneath it is called the subscapularis. Tears involving this muscle or its tendon are detected using the lift off test.
