I'm 21 and keep getting pain in my left arm, chest, back and jaw. Went to emergency room and they didn't find anything. Had severe exercise intolerance since flu. Had echo post flu, ct, 24hr holter.

As above: If u have seen a physician and u have received extensive work up with normal finding , most likely u have anxiety with somatic symptoms. U may try to see a mental health professional for med treatment and psychotherapy. ...Read more

Mgt/workup: From you description, you may have COPD, CF or another cardio pulmonary condition. In addition, shunting can occur outside the thorax. I would suggest checking total lung capacity, DLCO, a blood count, spirometry with and without a bronchodilator, a CFsweat test and a HRCT of the chest and possibly abdomen. Yes: Elevated EDP indicates left ventricular dysfunction. You did not report what your ejection fraction (EF) is - it's crucial. Your EDP may be elevated from systolic and/or diastolic dysfunction. Moreover, LBBB causes dys-synchrony which further compromises LV function. Both abnormalities you list will result in impaired functional capacity manifested as exercise intolerance. ...Read more
