See a doctor: Without a chest x-ray it is difficult to tell. Your symptoms sound like you could have pneumonia or bronchitis. I would see a doctor today especially if your shortness of breath is worsening. You can also try taking your albuterol inhaler every 4-6 hours, stop smoking, and try Mucinex (guaifenesin) that is over the counter to help get up the mucous.
