Can a severe reaction (such as swelling& high fever) to a whooping cough shot in the 50's cause an abnormal EEG and seizures in later life?

Pertussis vaccine: This would be unlikely, but anything is possible. A very rare yet serious side effect associated with this vaccine is the occurrence of seizures. Consider this.......: It sounds like your child is at the wrong place at the wrong time and going from cold to cold. A cold will often last 10-14 days so it can seem as if he constantly has a cold. Children at this age often will experience 8-10 colds/ year. Not sure why amoxicillin is given ,as a cold is viral and will not respond to antibiotics. 1 out of 5 people with a cold can have a fever for 5-6 days, ...Read more

I have swollen lymph nodes , runny nose , frequent cough , and high fever and weeze noise In lungs , what could this be?

Probably cold or flu: Probably just a bad cold or flu. But with "high fever" you need to contact your doctor. Maybe s/he will want to examine you to check for bronchitis or pneumonia that might need an antibiotic. If chills, shortess of breath, if you cough up any blood, or if you have other lung disease like asthma, do it now, even though it's Sunday pm. Otherwise it should be safe to wait until tomorrow. Good luck! ...Read more
