Female friend is a crystal Meth smoker she is complaining about pain on the right side of her chest, dizziness, Hot flashes, and unable to swallow ?
Impossible to say: depends on age and risk factors, but chest pain associated with methamphetamine use can always be cardiac in origin, and your friend needs to get checked out by her PCP or an urgent care setting. You might benefit from a few Alanon meetings to learn how to handle your own emotions about your friend, and to not enable her drug use. Seen Heart,lung,ent,hemat/asthma doc bunch tests only thing found was + meth challenge airway disease. on advair and Prtnx for reflux. 7mths Still have lump feeling in throat and don't get pounding heart feeling beat gos faster. Diff breathin pattern?
See GI doc: I suspect that your reflux is likely the cause for your throat sensation and Prtnx may not be enough to control it. The fast heart beat is likely from the long acting bronchodilator in Advair. With just mild asthma (detected by methacholine challenge only), it is debatable whether you need to take Advair. Consider stopping it . Consider getting checked for vocal cord dysfunction as well. ...Read more

I used meth and smoked for 20 years. I'm wondering if my lungs will heal from that and how much damage i actually did?
No crystal ball...: Using crystal meth probably causes more damage to the brain than lungs and some studies suggest significant psychological/mental or cognitive impairment and higher risk for dementia. Smoking cigarettes is the #1 cause of lung cancer, but COPD (chronic obstructive lung disease) causes much more disability/lower quality of life. Quantity and duration of use influence risk. I've insomnia frm taking meth lastnight. I smoked 5 full lungs of smokes (ex/re-inhaled to/from a plastic bag till all absorbed). How can I sleep now?
A few suggestions: Don't take any pills or alcohol to sleep! Lie in a dark room, with a fan or some quiet music. (White noise). Make sure it's cool. It will take time for the chemical to work its way out of your system. The temptation now is to go and find another drug to counteract the Meth and the spiral goes on and on.
