Severe back pain: Anytime i hear severe, i would suggest a physician evaluate. Regarding the location, pain upper left (near shoulder blade) can suggest muscle spasm/tendinitis of shoulder, thoracic spine/disk problem, lung/heart disease, stomach/pancreas/spenic disorder. Was on SSRIs 18 yrs. Weaned off over past 2 mos. Now, severe abdominal/flank/lower back pain left side. Clean abdo CT. Related to withdrawal maybe?

Was on SSRIs 18 yrs. Weaned off over past 2 mos. Now, severe abdominal/flank/lower back pain left side. Clean abdo CT.  Related to withdrawal maybe?

Full exam info: I doubt the source is w/drwl but the extreme experience might be related. W/o knowing much more about you, it's hard to know the source. Clean abdo CT is good! Muscles, joints, etc also need exam. Yoga, massage, PT may help. Diet too, if BMI is high. Ask advice from Doc who weaned you (good!). Best! ...Read more

Im on 6 dpo. I have a severe back pain on the middle left side, near the spine. It keeps me awake all nyt. Is it ok to go for a massage with ventosa?

I see no problem: I do not feel that massage w/ ventosa would be harmful at all. It certainly could be helpful in your back pain is musculoskeletal. Pain in the back of that severity should be investigated if it does not respond to your conservative care within a reasonable amount of time. ...Read more
