Why do post-cataract surgery retinal detachments occur? Is there some retinal pulling involved from posterior vitreous detachment (pvd)?

Why do post-cataract surgery retinal detachments occur? Is there some retinal pulling involved from posterior vitreous detachment (pvd)?

Destabilization: The natural lens and its supports stabilize the front of the eye and vitreous. Removal of the thick natural lens and substitution with a thin artificial lens, increases the chance for the vitreous to move in ways that can destabilize the attachments of the vitreous over the retina. If there are weak places, this can increase the chance of detachment, even in the best of cataract surgeries. ...Read more

Can you dissolve femara (letrozole) in water?

Ask prescribing Dr.: A person who is taking Femara (letrozole) (for breast cancer) and has trouble swallowing the pill, should ask the prescribing doctor if the pill can be crushed and mixed with liquid or food. DERMATOLOGISTS: Will taking collagen capsules help with fine lines over time? Ingredients:hydrolyzed marine collagen, elastin polypeptides

I really doubt it.: Protein is digested and absorbed. It's doubtful that a small amount of a particular protein is going to be 'special' compared to a burger. Less collagen, degraded protein loss of subcutaneous fat are aging features that promote crow's feet and specific dietary proteins just aren't going to change any of that. ...Read more
