Seroquel Ambien Interaction
What are drug interactions for taking the following medication together: Seroquel, Ambien, Propranolol, lamictal, klonipin, and adderrall?
Quetiapine (brand seroquel) is classified as an atypical antipsychotic medication. It is fda approved to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and as an adjunct with antidepressants in the treatment of major depressive disorder. Serious side effects include tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, and metabolic syndrome with weight gain, risk of ...Read more
Were both Rx-ed?: If the doctor that prescribed each knew about the other then they thought it was ok. Each is not without its risks and if you can get by with just one then that might be best, but they sometimes are prescribed together. ...Read more
Not recommended: Seroquel (quetiapine) is an anti-psychotic medication used for serious psychiatric disorders. It is not recommended as a sleeping aid. I have insomnia and tried numerous medications. I am now taking 100mg of seroquel with 10 mg of Ambien (zolpidem) and it is working great. Any problems w/this.
The main question: Is why you have insomnia in the first place. What evaluations have you had for this? There are many causes -- and although the seroquel and Ambien (zolpidem) may knock you out, this does not get to the root cause of your problem. Also, Ambien (zolpidem) is habit-forming, and in time you'll need more medication for the same effect. You might consider seeing a sleep medicine physician for evaluation. ...Read more

Can I take seroquel 25 mg and Ambien (zolpidem) together? (ambien (zolpidem) as needed) I am not sleeping well with just the seroquel, having a rough time lately
I take ambien 10 and temazipam and 200mg seroquel xr and still can't sleep, will taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) pm help?
NO: You are having either drug resistance to medication or an improbable case of chronic insomnia. I suggest a sleep study to rule out obstructive sleep apnea. Ask about Rozerem (ramelteon) and Belsomra, new, non- addictive forms of sleeping medication. Ambien and temazepam are both quite sedating and potentially addictive. Speak to you prescribing physician. ...Read more
Seroquel and luvox stopped working after 14 years, I can't sleep with ambien (zolpidem). I'm screwed, and scared I'm gonna die.
Not sure why fearful: If you're having trouble sleeping at night. I will tell you that a LARGE part of the reason is the fact that you've been on medications for 14 years that now are no longer working for that problem. I'd've been more scared of being ON THOSE medications for so long! You should be evaluated for insomnia & have the root cause identified & addressed not just become unnecessarily dependent on more pills ...Read more
Started ambien (zolpidem) 10 mg and 50 mg Seroquel two days ago for bad insomnia. Woke up with bad headaches two days in a row. Should I be concerned?
I took Seroquel 50 mg for a few months last year for insomnia. Started swelling stopped it. Taking it again along w ambien 10 mg. Been off and on ambien for long time. Now I am havingside effects of bad dizziness w combo after being on for two weeks?
My mother is taking seroquel...ambien and xanax (alprazolam). 200mg seroquel and 120 pills of 1mg xanax (alprazolam) not sure of the dosage of ambien. Is this okay?
Too many sedatives: Without knowing the exact regimen my best comment is to note that care must be taken when using multiple medications with sedative effects. I assume the Ambien is for sleep and the Xanax (alprazolam) is for anxiety. I would argue both are short-term interventions and she will be best served if alternative approaches are explored. The only thing I can say with certainty is that she should NOT drink alcohol! ...Read more
Can I take Seroquel indefinitely for chronic primary insomnia? 12.5 mg has stopped working after 18 days. Should I increase it? Ambien (zolpidem) no longer works for me. Neither does Trazodone.
Insomnia: Have you been evaluated by a sleep specialist? If not, you should. Seroquel (quetiapine) is not usually effective when used this way. The sleep specialist can order medications for you if advisable and these may be temporary but will delve into your habits in depth, order appropriate tests such as looking for restless leg syndrome and advise a regimen for you specifically. ...Read more
I was on ambien for chronic insomnia for five years. Loved it. Stopped working. Is there any med that is just as good? A hypnotic Preferably? Lunesta (eszopiclone) doesn't work for me nor trazodone any longer. Wondering about seroquel. Thank you.
Insomnia: Ambien (zolpidem) and similar sleeping meds are not intended for long-term use because of dependence and tolerance. Insomnia is a symptom with many possible causes. Try to find cause for insomnia. Also look at sleep hygiene and lifestyle factors. Try Melatonin meantime and read: https://sleepfoundation. Org/insomnia/content/treatment for more info. 40mg citalopram in am, 4mg klonopin during day, 900mg gabapentin w dinner, 25mg seroquel @ night. Can I take 10mg of Ambien (zolpidem) with the seroquel?
Fly LAX to Moscow then Moscow to Vienna 16 hours extreme anxiety doctor prescribed ambien. I hear this is just for sleep maybe Xanax (alprazolam)? Seroquel? Help
What sedatives work best Ambien cr, sonata, (zaleplon) lunesta, rozerem or silenor? I take restoril but doesn't work. I can't sleep unless I take an extra seroquel.
Don't get dependent: Taking more and more sleep meds is a dangerous path. Figure out why you can't sleep; see your primary care md first. Eliminate caffeine; don't exercise too late in the evening; stay away from your cell phone and other bright screens just before going to bed. Don't go to bed until you're sleepy. May need referral to sleep lab. Try to get off all sleep meds. Good luck! ...Read more

Want to try garcinia slim life but I am on valdoxan & seroquel (quetiapine). Is there any interactions?
Don't waste your $: There may be interactions with psych meds that modulate serotonin e.g. Prozac, Zoloft, (sertraline) etc. But evidence is sparse & comes from mouse studies. But I'd avoid it because it's mostly WORTHLESS. A careful review of favorable medical reports of GC found that THEY were mostly worthless. Think critically. Be skeptical. Arm yourself with REAL KNOWLEDGE. Don't be an easy mark for the snake-oil salesmen. ...Read more

Prescribed reglan to alternate with imitrex for acute migraine attacks. I take topimax, doxipin and seroquel. What im reading is scaring me. Dr. Said possible interactions but these sound severe. Are these agents ever safe to combine?
Rx moderation: That regimen should be alright if the doses moderate. Clearly, you could develop issues with overheating with first two and irregular rhythm with last two. Very important--are they helping h/a? New onset h/a, after MVA? Need to know cause and perhaps better able to focus treatment for your individual case. ...Read more
Is there a drug interaction from taking vitamin D3 ibuprofen and seroquel (quetiapine) I sprained my wrist and I was wondering if I could take ibuprofen?
Ask your pharmacist: At your age there is probably nothing wrong with mixing ibuprofen, vitamin D and Seroquel but the 24 hour pharmacy has a pharmacist available to answer these types of questions. Your pharmacist has a database that can be searched. Usually the pharmacist has a great deal of training and experience giving this type of advice. It is very wise that you did ask someone about a possible interaction ...Read more

Ambien (zolpidem): Drugs. Com is a great resource for information about drugs like ambien (zolpidem). Ambien (zolpidem) is a habit-forming sleep medicine that can be used intermittently, but you really need to look into why you're having sleep disturbance in the first place. Bipolar disorder, for instance, can cause insomnia -- and Ambien (zolpidem) will not hold it off for long without stabilizing mood. Hoping you're working with a psychiatrist. ...Read more
