Exam advised: Left sided abdominal discomfort with associated tenderness is suspicious of diverticulitis of the descending colon. Constipation may accompany this also. I recommend that a physician examinine your fiance in the hospital emergency room now where testing can be carried out expeditiously. ...Read more
