For benign disease usually minimal discomfort. After cancer and radiation patients often notice an occasional sudden discomfort, which is not uncommon. It could be more intense after mammosite.

Depends: Chest pain/tightness can have many causes and many implications. Some are minor and some can be life threatening. Costochondral: inflammation. The cartilage that connects the sternum (breastbone) to your ribs is called the costochondral cartilage. When you stretch you pull on it, sometimes too much, the joints move, you hear a noise. The overuse can sometimes result in pain/tenderness to touch. I would not stretch so forcefully/expansively!
