Bulemia: Bad idea! Evidence shows this does not help for weight loss and will cause a number of other health problems, including tooth decay and erosion of esophagus. Better idea is to make meal last as long as possible, snacking on very low calorie foods for next 12 hours. Weight gain occurs over weeks, not one meal. Not recommended.: We do not currently recommend inducing vomiting after eating expired or spoiled food. In the past syrup of ipecac was used, but it has been found to be in advisable. They were once used in overdoses and poisonings, but there are way too many complications including injury to the esophagus, aspiration, and typically did not resolve the ingestion.
