Takes time: Stay on the antibiotics, take anti-inflammatories like aspirin or ibuprofen. The pain from tooth extraction can last for a couple of weeks sometimes. At three days you are still going to hurt and food will make it worse. Removal of the tooth was the treatment for the infection which can now drain.
