Seeing Prisms In Both Eyes
Depends on the cause: It depends what caused the floaters. For most people, vitreous floaters can disappear over a period of weeks to months - eventually the brain "tunes out" the floaters so they're not very visible. Unfortunately, other floaters may then form over time. However, floaters can also be a sign of serious retinal problems - for any new or changes in floaters, see an md immediately. ...Read more
I have 20/20 in both eyes. 120 degrees field of vision in both eyes. Is my 120 degree field of vision in each eye good?
Exercises: the goal of eye exercises is to teach the patient to have improved control of the eye misalignment. This treatment does not make the eye misalignment go away; it may only help it become less frequent. Unfortunately, many patients who undergo this treatment will continue to decompensate, ultimately lose control of their eye misalignment, and require surgery. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a refractive error of -5.75 in both eyes (myopia & astigmatism) and floaters in both eyes. Is a pupil dilation better than the digital retinal?
Many patterns: A common pattern is supression of the central image in one eye (which prevents double vision). Some eyes are amblyopic - lowered vision which does not improve. Others have an adaptation termed alternation in which each eye has good vision but only one at a time pointed centrally to function. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can seeing haloes around bright lights be from anxiety or dry eyes? both ODs say that my eyes are fine
Two types of haloes.: The classic symptom of colored haloes around lights occurs due to corneal edema, often associated with acute angle closure glaucoma. Otherwise, white haloes around lights are usually caused by a refractive error, but any corneal surface irregularity, including dry eyes, can cause the symptom. Artificial tears are an easy treatment, and many medications, especially anxiolytics, can cause dryness. ...Read more
Went to eye doctor and discharge paper said Health problems reviewed "hyperopia, both eyes, astigmatism both eyes. Is this bad?
Doubtful both eyes: Amblyopia is a condition in which an eye which is otherwise normal, sees less well. It is almost always caused by some eye malposition or refractive differencies between the two eyes in infancy and early childhood. The pattern of amblyopia becomes fixed if not treated by age 8 years. After that, exercises, etc. Cannot correct the condition. You probably have one normal eye and one seeing less well. ...Read more

Floaters big shadow in vision with vision acuity 6/6 both 12/12 eye pressure and pulsating in vision all drs saying there's nothing in retina??
Check it out: Refractive error (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism) can naturally be different between eyes. However, there are many eye conditions, such as cataracts which can cause the refractive error of one eye to become significantly different than the other eye. See your ophthalmologist for a complete examination to look into the issue further. ...Read more
I have unequal refractive power in both eyes and I get persisting eye strain. Is there a solution?
Adjust power: Once the eyes are unequal over 2 or 3 diopters (anisometropia), some people may experience eye strain. Also large differences can cause image size disparity (aniseikonia). Either adjust the refractive power by undercorrecting to match, by using contact lens, by doing some sort of refractive procedure, i.e. Lasik, lens removal, exchange or placement, etc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Dizziness and increase in eye floaters in bright light. Retina normal eyes close to 20/20 optometrist said. Slight ring in ears and popping sometimes?
Are there any glasses that could correct the vision at least 50%?
I have albinism with eyes problems: nystagmus, astigmatism, photophobia.
Probably not: Vision in albinism is limited by the effect of the lack of pigment on the central vision which is permanently lowered. You are asking if eyeglasses can improve on your current best and that is unlikely assuming you have already seen an ophthalmologist for eyeglasses and eye evaluation. ...Read more
Scary eye situation. Had trouble seeing in center of eye then zigzag prism in arc-like line. What was that?
Migraine aura?: It's not clear from your description and it would be helpful to know how long these symptoms lasted, but the "zig-zag prism in arc-like line" comment makes me think of a migraine aura. These often make the vision temporarily hazy, then form a building arc of lights in a zig-zag just off center, which lasts 5-20 minutes, then resolves. Some have a headache after, but many just get the aura. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Your symptoms are much more likely that of ocular (or occipital ) migraine. If you are worried to the point of distraction or sleep loss, then check with your ophthalmologist. ...Read more
