Sebaceous Gland On Penis
My sebaceous glands are over active. Almost done fighting cold/flu. Could it be immune system reaction, hormones or simply change in weather. Male 42?
ComplexManyBehaviors: Blamed on outer influences &/or internal controls without much understanding; the reason that so many promoted treatments do not work (or not well) despite complexity & expense. The medical disease industry (including those with MDs) only partially understand Soul? Mind? Brain? Body creatures. Primary control of sebaceous glands is autonomic. Many do better with LCHF foods, study DietDoctor. ComSee 2 more doctor answers
Perhaps?: Sebaceous glands are present to provide oil to the skin. They are there because that is the way we are made. Occasionally we can have the plug up & cause a cyst to form. It is best to leave these alone. An skin/soft tissue infection in the genital area can be very serious. They may be unsightly but they are sterile. If you prefer removal, see a urologist, dermatologist or surgeon & b careful!
Does it goes ann and get away sebaceous glands under penis ring I am 43 years old and I am crying I should have asked a doctors when I was younger?
Penile lumps: The penis has sebaceous glands along the shaft and corona and sebaceous cysts can develop and cause lumps. These lumps must be differentiated from infections due to herpes or other STDs, penile warts, angiokeratomas, scabies, folliculitis, Tyson glands (modified sebaceous glands around the corona and inner surface of the prepuce of the penis). Cancer must be ruled out. Get examined.
I have sebaceous gland spots on penis is there tablets I can haven't cure them? Without having to go to the doctors or anything?
No cure. ..: The occurrence of this nature comes with life - genetic factors - so there has been no known means to get rid of them and you have to adopt & adapt to what you have got in life. So, it's helpful to know and accept: Life is a one-way street of constant struggle to cope with reality, certainty, & uncertainty of daily living for survival, growth, & continuation. More? To www. U don't want 2: This is normal skin and anatomy. Leave it alone. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Why would you want to? You will injury yourself if you do this or persist in attempting to do this. Talk with your pcp or with a urologist or dermatologist and see if there is something going on elsewise. Man, enjoy what you have for the reason you have it and leave the rest alone. It is what it is!
I have a lot of sebaceous oil glands on my penis and testicles is there anyway to reduce or get rid of them!? I never use to have any....
Can help but not cur: These are normal glands but can get plugged. The way to limit this is to keep the area as dry as possible and boxers to aerate. Some people are just more prone to them than others. Powder sometimes helps.
Not really.: They can be removed individually with an electric needle or certain types of lasers, but I don't know of anyone willing to do that. Just about everyone's genitals have sebaceous bumps - they are a normal finding. Unless they are causing symptoms of some sort, there is no reason to remove them.
Sebaceous Gland: The sebaceous glands are microscopic exocrine glands in the skin that secrete an oily or waxy matter, called sebum, to lubricate and waterproof the skin and hair. When they grow abnormally they can form sebaceous cysts.
No: It can be uncomfortable at times and embarrassing at times. You should apply very warm (not hot) compresses for 3-4 minutes at a time for about 5 times per day to see if it goes away. If still persistent and symptomatic after 3-4 days of this, then see your gynecologist for evaluation.
By removing: See your doctor for treatment (removal).Get a more detailed answer ›
Dermatologist eval: I think you wrote this in a while back? Did a sebaceous cyst pop? Has the area healed? If not, would see a dermatologist.
No, no, can't: Sebaceous glands aren't dangerous for either men or women (yes, you have them, too). They definitely aren't contagious. Everyone has these oil glands everywhere. Therefore you can't get rid of them. Sometimes they'll plug up & enlarge, even get infected. In that case, your doc can lance them to allow stuff (pus) to drain out. Warm compresses sometimes are enough to cause 'em to open & drain on own.See 1 more doctor answer
See below: Acne and sebaceous cysts are common disorders of sebaceous glands. Carcinomas can arise from sebaceous glands, as these lesion can from any epithelium. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
Sebaceous: Suspect your asking about sebaceous hyperplasia. Slow enlarging - years, bump, usually on face. No need to remove, except cosmetically. Burn, freeze, or biopsy.
Chances that my chalazion is sebaceous gland carcinoma? First time I ever had it- dr didn't send for biopsy, im 28
Send if it recurs: The consequences of missing a cancer disguised as a chalazion are serious, but you have a window period if it recurs and is then sent for study. This is an okay practice if, and only if, your ophthalmologist was confident enough that it was a classic chalazion to forego histopathology the first time. If a recurrence is sent, you'll be safe. And it's very good you asked.
How common is sebaceous gland carcinoma in a 28 yr/white/Female. I am getting 'cyst' removed on lower lid & Dr said it MUST be sent for pathology
Common enough: If I understand correctly, you're upset because your physician wants to send what you think is a simple benign cyst to pathology to know for sure. It's impossible to be certain on the gross, if you want to play a guessing game you are foolish, not sending it would be malpractice, and you'll be extremely sorry if a cancer is missed. Here's how a missed lesion looks before eating into the brain.See 2 more doctor answers
Will exercising increase the chances of relapsing on accutane? Since I sweat when exercising, won't it stimulate the sebaceous gland and make skin oily?
Go for it, man!: When you're on accutane, you don't have any sebaceous glands left. You're 19 years old. You're in your physical and sexual prime. Your acne is probably gone and you're looking fantastic. Don't even THINK of depriving yourself and your sports buddies of the joy of physical fitness. Get back into the gym or the playing field and sweat like a man. It won't hurt your looks. Cherish it.
Several ways: Heat and pressure can sometimes open up the clogged duct, but often require excision, as they have a tendency to return.
No: Secretions from sebaceous glands occurs on a regular basis, not effected by "massaging".
