See doc: Sounds likely expected- you can cause various intercostal muscle tares, rib "bruising", fractures etc some of which may not readily show up on radiologic studies. As it is primarily with movement it is most likely musculoskeletal in origin, an so will improve with time and anti inflammatory meds like motrin, but you should see your doc to be safe.There are always oddities that doc may need to see. ...Read more

Ouch: This is variable - could be several days for some or several weeks for others. It depends on the force and your body's muscle mass/tone. The bigger issue is if you have trouble breathing or sharp chest pains, this could indicate internal injury. If so, would talk to your doc about getting a chest x-ray tomorrow am or go to an er. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually.
