Noticed a rather purple vein that's quite noticeable in my scrotum as I showered tonight. No pain or numbness, but is a vein like that normal?
Leave it alone: Scrotal veins may not be so obvious, but they are always there some more prominent than others. The warmth of the shower cause the veins to vasodilate, a normal response of our body to get rid of heat. The prominence of veins throughout your body during that time is evident by the red color of your skin when coming out of the shower. ...Read more

Took a tick out of scrotum, accidentally left head inside. Wound closed but left a tiny hard red numb. What do I do?
Minor: If it is bothering you a dermatologist or a general surgeon or a urologist can take it out. They will numb the skin and it will have a couple of stitches which will dissolve. The numbing will burn just for a few seconds. After that it is painless. It is nothing serious. Good luck. ...Read more

Can escitalopram cause genital anesthesia I.e numb penis scrotum and no sensitivity from penis when having sex or masturbating?
Randomly felt numb penis shaft and scrotum also have low libido. Urine/MRI came back normal. I'm 19, healthy, have eczema and been on steroid cream?
I applied 0.5 hydrocortisone cream to my to the head of penis, pubic area and scrotum and now the head of penis and scrotum feels somewhat numb. Help?
0.5% Hydrocortisone is really too weak since even 1% is usually not potent enough. If the problem is persistent, you need to stop using it or perhaps try switching to an ointment. See a doctor if the problem fails to resolve or the numbness lasts more than a couple of day.
Make sure that the cream does not have a local anesthetic mixed with it. ...Read more

I have pains in my pelvis close to my genital area on the left side. The pains are either, a burning sensation, numbness, or just a sharp, deep pain.
Get to a Urologist: Those problems could represent impingement of a nerve or richly-innervated structure in the groin. A urologist would be a good start to rule out bad things. While you're waiting for the appointment, you could read online how to do a male self-examination to exclude any anatomical abnormalities. Good luck, and feel better soon! ...Read more

This : This should be evaluated as soon as possible. The fact that he has problems on both lower extremities at the same time is highly suggestive of spinal cord involvement. Pelvic or perineal pain is suggestive of a cauda equina syndrome. That is problems around the L1 level of the spine. Collapsing while walking is a red flag in my book. The fact that he is 60 brings with is the possibility of a carcinoma with metastasis to the spine. See a doctor as soon as possible and get an MRI of the spine urgently. ...Read more
