Gel heel liner: There are so many shapes and sizes of feet that shoe manufacturers cannot possibly make shoes for every need. Bunions and bumps on: toes will require proper shoes that have enough room in the toe box area. The brand of shoes is your personal preference and doesn't really matter. What you need is shoes that accommodates your deformities. You can also place small cushions on the toes and or around the bunion area that are non medicated for protection, whether they be foam or felt skin or gel type. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Transverse, comminuted distal tibial fracture 4m ago. Surgery was carried out wid plates. Can walk wid brace, uneven gait. Will i b abl 2 walk properly?
Maybe: It depends on the nature of the distal tibia fracture and if it involved the articular surface or not. Fractures that involve the joint surface can be life-changing injuries. If the articular surface was uninjured, you should regain normal walking cadence, but it could take several months as distal tibia fractures are slow to heal. It's hard to say without seeing the x-rays. ...Read more
1-must wear straight shoe lasts for overpronation & flat feet? 2-can sneakers have mesh and leather tops?
??: Not so much a straight last as much as a last of some kind / cheaper shoes may look ok but if you can bend the shoe easily at the heel-forefoot junction then this is not a good shoe for you a good shoe with a last coupled with a good otc or custom made orthotic is the ticket as long as the construction is of reasonable quality what the upper is made from is not too much of an issue. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have flat foot I use customize orthotics made by a podiatrist, why when I inline skate my lower back kill me?
Not the orthotics: It is probably not caused by the orthotics. Since most inline skates come above the ankle and lock the foot & ankle in position the orthotic does not serve much function. It is probably the position you put your back in when you skate that is causing the stress & pain. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
