Incredibly helpful: Any physical activity is helpful for a healthy lifestyle. Sporting activities aren't for every child but many children find them more fun than other forms of exercise. If you can find free sporting activities then please take advantage of them. Absolutely: More then 2 hours of screen time computer games, text, tv, etc during school year is detrimental. Sports are the best way to go for healthy mind and body, gets kids to build cardiovascular and muscle tone at crucial ages. If not into sports walk, run, bottom line is move ur body. ...Read more

They can be too overstimulating. All children's tv programming should be limited to no more than one hour per day. I do not believe in having a tv in a child's room.
