Yes: Online addictions, whether for action games, online porn, chatrooms or many other activities can be serious and damaging to quality of life. Many addiction programs have now started special programs for those with these kinds of problems (called 'process' addictions). They sometimes reflect another underlying psychiatric problem, sometimes not. See an addiction specialist (aaap.Org or asam.Org). ...Read more

I've recently started drinking plenty of water (8 - 12 glasses of water daily), 1- 2 oatmeals daily, a sandwich or pasta for dinner. Is that healthy?

Eat a balanced diet: The amount of water you drink is dictated by thirst. You do not need to drink more than 4-5 glasseswater/day...Anything over will only make you run to urinals. As for food get a good balance between starches(carbohydertes), proteins and fat.. The goal is to have a healthy weight and get adequate amount of proteins, besides starches and pasta. The sources of proteins are eggs/ nuts/, soy/tofu/fish. ...Read more

I've been eating healthy for about 3 1/2 weeks now. Watching nutrition and cut out processed. Is frequent urination common with diet change?

It is not uncommon!: The thing that seems to cause diuresis (increased urination) for most people with diet change is the significant reduction in sodium that comes with eating healthier/avoiding more processed foods. Often, when people lose more weight the first week or so on a "diet", it is chalked up to "water weight." Your body soon equilibrates. Remember, healthy drinking of more water also leads to more urine:) ...Read more

Read labels first: It's best to carefully read the labels on whatever you're eating or drinking. Some flavored "water beverages" have artificial sweeteners in them, like sucralose and aspartame. Officially they are "safe, " but i recommend keeping them as much out of your body as possible. http://tinyurl.com/nlh8wxj. ...Read more

Yes,or coconut water: You want to replace electrolytes as well as water and research shows that water is better absorbed when electrolytes are added. My concern with sports drinks is they tend to have a lot of sugar, often in the form of high fructose corn syrup which is best avoided. Consider coconut water with added sodium as a good alternative. How safe is the master cleanse? This cleanse includes 10 days of drinking fresh lemonade sweetened with maple syrup and cayenne, and no food.

It's relative.: If you are a healthy 26 year old male without diabetes or any major chronic illness, the master cleanse is safe, but quite extreme. It is basically a ten-day fast, which is not good for your metabolism. I would suggest you find shorter "cleanse" options at your local health food store, that contain vitamins and nutrients to keep your body running, and in balance. ...Read more
