If my 2 cm tarlov cysts are pressing on the sciatic nerve and is the cause of my hip pain, can the MRI show proof that the cysts pressing on the nerve?
Yes.: There are two ways Tarlov Cysts can be best seen radiographically. MRI is the test of choice. But CT Myelogram can also be very helpful. The MRI can clearly show the cyst compressing one of the nerves, L5 or S1 that contributes to the Sciatic Nerve.
