Get checked!: Before a psychiatric diagnosis is made, a physical reason for your symptoms must be ruled out. See a doc for a physical and appropriate testing to find out why you are hearing voices and seeing things. Do not drink alcohol or use recreational drugs. Can the new bloodtest for schizophrenia only work if I am off antipsychotic drugs when I do the test?

My psychiatrist diagnosed me with schizophrenia. I challenged him to show me a test that proved it. He said he couldn't. Am i still schizophrenic?

If the psychologist can get interview/observation, family interview, record review & (if possible) one or more tests, that is likely sufficient.
