No problem: There is no problem using Minoxidil on the scalp since it is not absorbed and may well not be effective due to your use of the drug tacrolimus. You may need to discuss switching from tacrolimus to Cyclosporine with your transplant team. By the way, Cyclosporine causes excessive hair growth - this is one of its side effects! ...Read more

Yes eventually: It may take some time if you are completely bald, but yes it will come back if caused by trichotillamania. It usually grows back thin initial and may take several years to grow back the way it was before pulling. If you have anemia, it's important get started on a good diet rich in iron and b vitamins.
