Maybe rosacea: Malar flushing is most commonly caused by a condition called rosacea. Many times there is a positive family history of similar symptoms. What's the definitive way to determine if these itchy bumps are mosquito bites, hives or bed bug bites?
Can be tricky: There are differences btwn mosquitoes & bed bugs. Mosquitoes usually aren't out when it's really cold & they are often found outside in wooded areas. Bug beds live inside & thus are not impacted by the temperature. The itching from a mosquito bite starts right away & usually resolves w/in a few hrs. See Allergist: Given you unbearable itching symptoms and rash refractory to topical steroids I would suggest making an appointment to see an allergist for further workup/evaluation. Eczema, contact dermatitis, urticaria (hives), etc. are all skin condition that you could be suffering from. Getting workup up by a specialist might provide more answers/treatments. ...Read more

Can a rash from scabies spread after permethrin treatment of the mites are killed? Just did treatment last night, rash on cheek now, not itchy
Probably not but: Even if the mites are killed, they have left some droppings behind in the skin areas where they had visited. Did 2 rounds of permitherin cream for scabies. Both times got worse. (More borrows, bite, crawling sensation) Does this mean misdiagnosis? No scabies?
May be scabies: It is not uncommon for people to get more itchy instead of less a few days after scabies treatment.
