Steroid is not Rx.: Either for Boil or Acne or Mosquito bite. Antibiotic cream may help an Abscess from Bite. But for Acne there are topical Cleansing agent and Prescription strength Topical Antibiotic cream and Retin A (tretinoin) preparations are available. Steroid does not help. ...Read more

No: Allergy is not contagious. Even if the friend's symptoms were not allergy, the symptoms do appear to be of a contagious nature. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats.
