See Allergist: Given you unbearable itching symptoms and rash refractory to topical steroids I would suggest making an appointment to see an allergist for further workup/evaluation. Eczema, contact dermatitis, urticaria (hives), etc. are all skin condition that you could be suffering from. Getting workup up by a specialist might provide more answers/treatments. ...Read more
General cleaning: With lice, only areas where the head has touched are at risk. Would wipe the area down and vacuum it. With scabies it is spread to the environment with direct skin contact. It is unlikely to be an issue in your car. Would recommend general cleaning to the areas as well with wipe down and vacuum. Extreme cleaning in either case is not necessary or indicated. ...Read more

Itching: Scabies shows up as tiny bites but the "bugs" are too small to see. The bites can be anywhere on the body, including the back of the hand (not so much the palm) and the penis.
