Constipation? stools hard like rabbit droppings once every other day bowel movement. Also slight spotting from vagina when wiping after straining?
Constipation war!: The best approach is to have a plan that you implement every day to avoid constipation. Generous (64+ oz/day) fluid (water) intake is most important, as is including fiber in your diet (particularly whole grains), & daily exercise. Psyllium supplements (such as metamucil) are very helpful & also can be used as a laxative. Often unclear where blood is coming from after straining. Review with doc ...Read more

Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. If you have been having symptoms for yrs, ibs is likley. If this is new, something else maybe causing your symptoms such as ulcerative colitis etc..I recommend consulting your doc for an eval. Good luck. ...Read more

5wks post hemorroidectomy.Today i was constipated and took miralax (polyethylene glycol). Stool hard painful to pass & bright bloody mucus when i wiped. Should i go to er?
Keep stool soft: No, but i would take MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or some gentle laxative on a daily basis, and keep your self well hydrated. Also consider adding some fiber like a 'metamucil' or equivalent once a day to keep your bms soft and regular. If this happens and the bleeding continues, then you will need to have it checked out. A hemorrhoidectomy takes a while to get over. ...Read more

Not worrisome: Perhaps you had a stool plug which has now passed. A "good news" is that you have not described bleeding per rectum. Changes in bowel pattern are however a "red flag" to doctors. Ihad a bm, i had to use my finger to remove stuck stool.I wiped and there was bright red blood. It took a few pieces if tp clean it up. What happened?
Hello, Can't: Accurately state cause of blood with information available. One cause of rectal bleeding is an anal fissure. However, a fissure causes usually severe pain with a bm ; you didn't mention pain (so doubt that). Your fingernails could cause trauma to delicate rectal tissue - so that might be a reason. If stool was stuck - it could be hard, dry and bulking - that can abraide tissues ; cause bleeding. ...Read more

My stool has been soft and with some green color to it, when i wipe there's some green slime to it?
