Sample Tiffa Scan Report
Depends: This depends on the organ of interest. This is not uncommon with the ovaries and uterus as us has an advantage. This is same with the breasts as well. As for other organs in the abdomen, sometimes it may depends on the patient's body habitus or lack of intravenous contrast/dye that some finding may not be apparent on ct. ...Read more

Not sure: Ct with and without xray dye is a good test for some kidney problems. Not sure what you mean by thickening. Ct shows kidney stones, masses, kidney size/location ; can give a good idea of whether the kidneys are working well. Ct is also good at showing the site of blockage of urine flow, when present. ...Read more

Can i relax about cancer?Urq disc.&occ floating stool.Normal blood/stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gastritis
I'd relax for now: Your pain and stool fat changes sound like gall bladder disease, though proven not present. Was the gerd region biopsied? If so and negative, your comprehensive and perhaps more than appropriate workup shows within the limits of present technology, you don't have a detectable cancer. Longstanding gerd can be a pre-cancerous change over the years however and may warrant future follow-up endoscopy. ...Read more
What can a hip/pelvic CT scan show that a MRI cannot? (dr ordered bilateral hip/pelvic CT scan 2x45min in machine-worried about radiation)
Post op seminoma, in r testicle. Pet scan done for suspecious nodes. Pet scan result shows negative for any abnormalility. This means no seminoma?
Surveillance: A negative pet scan means there is no accumulation of cancer cells large enough to be discernible by the pet scanner. There is a resolution limit of about 7mm in size to be seen, some are better now. I am not trying to scare you, but your doctor i'm sure will continue to caution you and continue surveillance for a period of time safe to say you are cancer-free. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Abdominal CT scan revealed a trace pleural effusion. Gp says all is well and radiologist report says unremarkable scan. But should I be worried?
TV Ultrasound showed 6cm solid adnexal mass but ct did not show it? Only Ct findings - fluid and/or endometrial thickening in uterus. Any explination?
Possible resolution: if there was a few days or more between tests, it is possible that whatever lesion that was seen on ultrasound resolved on its own. Ultrasound uterus and ovaries is sometimes a challenge based on intestinal issues and potentially what was seen on ultrasound could have been shadows of bowel. If you continue to have symptoms, repeat imaging in 4-6 weeks could be considered. ...Read more
I have a renal ultrasound in 2 weeks. Radiologist noted hydronephrosis on my CT scan from 12/26. Will this study confirm the CT result?
Yes: Ct likely done for pain, possibly for a kidney stone which may or may not have passed. Us will show if hydronephrosis has resolved. This would be good management. Us not necessary to confirm ct diagnosed hydronephrosis if due to non-calculus (stone) obstruction like at upper ureter. Such obstruction would require a mag3 nuclear scan to quantify obstruction and need for possible corrective surgery. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
