This: This is a bit tricky to answer without a picture and more clinical information. I doubt it was from the blood draw. This time of year it could be many things including a medication reaction, eczema, a viral exanthem, psoriasis, dry skin from low humidity, and many others. Absolutely: Actonel (risedronate) can make you extremely sensitive to sun exposure, and you may easily develop sunburns. Always use sun protection when taking this med—long sleeves, pants, broad-brimmed hat, sunblock/screen of at least #30 spf applied several minutes before going out into sun. Make sure sunscreen blocks both uva & uvb. Discuss this side effect with doc who prescribed it. ...Read more

Yeast infection?: If you are overweight, the areas under the breasts, the love handle, and the groin are more susceptible to candida infection. If this applies to you, try to keep these areas dry by using antiperspirant. In the meanwhile try some anti-fungal cream on the areas for a few days.
