I use salicylic acid 20% on spots. If i neutralise & wash my face, can I use differin as well without irritation?

I : I suggest you go back to see your dermatologist. You may need a higher dose of the medication, or a change in medication. In addition it's not a bad idea to see an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) for the dark lines in your sclera( white part of eye). There may be other options like laser therapy that may be helpful. Can salicylic acid exfoliant washes cause an initial breakout or 'purging' period? If so, for how long usually? Ive been clearing in some spots using it but breaking out in the spots I was more prone to having blackheads in. Its Purging them maybe?
