It is a risk for a serious infection called 'toxic-shock-syndrome" as some forget to change to tampon causing retained/growing bacteria infection which can spread to the blood stream resulting in shock. I would: Wear a pad for now. You shouldn't have a lot of bleeding while breast feeding. I doubt your vagina has expanded to the point where u can never again wear a tampon. Use a pad for now and try later. Good luck. ...Read more
