Not exactly: Birth control pills take one full cycle to be effective and you should be using other methods (such as condoms) until you have completed the first pack. This method is especially helpful with people who have heavy and/or painful menses. Ocps: Did you use condoms in addition to the ocps? May be from the ocps. A negative pregnancy test sheds light on the problem. A quantitative hcg that is negative means you are not pregnant.
