Erlotinib: Is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, dominantly with skin effects, and minor diarrhea. As an egfr active small molecule, i don't know of any interactions with "heart meds" which sure is a broad category. Always best to check with both specialists: oncologist and cardiologist. ...Read more

Erlotinib: Technical: inhibitor of the thyrosine kinase activity of egfr. King's english: oral medication in the category of targeted therapies that interferes with the molecular mechanisms that make cancer cells grow. The idea is to cause damage to the cancer cell with minimal collateral damage to normal cells.
