Is the Montenegro Skin Test for Leishmaniasis safe?

Is the Montenegro Skin Test for Leishmaniasis safe?

Yes: This skin test uses parts of the killed protozoan parasite. However it is only useful in cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis.
