What is the period in which one can become pregnant (with menstrural cycle of every 28 to 30 days) and when is it safe to do to prevent pregnancy?
Pregnant any time: You can become pregnant at any time during your cycle, but the highest chance is during/around time of ovulation (egg-release). During a normal ovulatory cycle, the ovulation occurs 14-days before the menstrual flow starts. So, for 28-day cycle, ovulation day=14. For 30-day cycle, ovulation on day=16. To prevent unwanted pregnany, contraception is recommended at all time! Consult doc. Good luck. ...Read more

I have irregular periods and usually get my menstrual twice a year for long periods of time. My fiancé and I have been trying t I have not taken a pregnancy test but that is because I do not know if I should or if I need to wait and how long I should wait
If you have irregular periods, you are likely having irregular ovulation which could make it difficult for you to get pregnant. If you are not successfully pregnant within a year of trying, then it might be worth your time to see an ob/gyne doctor.
That being said, maybe you are pregnant. You can either take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5 – 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period. A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come. If you have an irregular period, this can make the timing more difficult. If you take a home pregnancy test 4 weeks after you think you may have gotten pregnant, it should be pretty accurate. ...Read more

29-31d; day 15-17: I looked at your menstrual history, and your cycles were all between 29 and 31 days long. You count from the 1st day of bleeding, to the following cycles 1st day of bleeding.
