When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. Is anti itch cream safe to use during pregnancy? Is there a homeopathic remedy that's better for big bites?
Baking Soda: For individual bites a paste made from baking soda and water will stop the itching and is OK to use during pregnancy. Apply the paste directly to the bite area only. For multiple bites you can add a 1/4 cup of baking soda to a luke warm bath to soothe the itching as well. Soak in the bath for up to 15 min then rinse well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can i take Azo yeast (mistletoe leaf and boneset homeopathic medicine in a probiotic base) I am 16 wekks pregnant?
I advise caution: First, i'm a professional homeopath who believes homeopathy in general is very safe & one of the very best ways to treat common maladies in pregnancy. There is no research on the use of azo yeast (& most meds & herbs) during pregnancy. But i believe that mistletoe should be avoided during pregnancy & this preparation is low-potency meaning it does have a tiny amount of mistletoe in it.See comment:. ...Read more

Are homeopathic remedies like cobrynol and arnica tablets really safe to use? How effective are they? Are they safe to take with other OTC pain meds?
Most homeopathy safe: Almost all homeopathic remedies are extremely safe & often effective though i reserve judgment on cobrynol; the main exception is low potencies of toxic substances;cobrynol does not reveal potency on its website & does list many side effects but most homeopathics have no side effects;consider nyloxin, a similar product with a longer track record (though it can have mild side effects)- see comment:. ...Read more

blanket statement N: Unlike allopathic medications, most homeopathic remedies do not cause persistent side effects, do not have any molecular densities to contribute to toxicity for the baby or mother, but the dose, and the frequency of dosing, requires sound judgment. Plenty: Used correctly, homeopathic remedies are prescribed by understanding the entire person experiencing a problem -- not for one symptom (like "oily skin") alone. I have chronic non allergic infectious rhinitis. What homeopathic remedies can I use to help? Already using nettie pot.
Not may options: Neti-pot is a great start! If it truly is an infectious rhinitis, then you may need to see a specialist so that a culture can be obtained for possibly starting antibiotics. Unfortunately, if it's bacterial, then homeopathic remedies may not be of much help. Another symptomatic treatment you can try (though not homeopathic) is an over the counter decongestant - but not more than 3-5 days. ...Read more
Do homeopathic remedies benefit/ cure or is this just placebo effects- i ve heard opposite views from people who use it ?
Help is from placebo: Truly homeopathic "medications" are made by repeated dilutions, so that the ingredient is not really there anymore (just the "essence" of it remains). That means there is no active ingredient left to cause any benefit. However, that also implies that the homeopathic "medicine" should be pretty harmless, unless some other non-homeopathic ingredient (such as some antihistamine chemical) was added. ...Read more
