Alcohol interacts: With so many meds and supplements that it's best not to combine it with anything, specifically since Accutane has an Antabuse (disulfiram) effect while taking alcohol that could make you feel really sick to your stomach. Also, it will make Accutane less effective. Two negatives. So since you want Accutane to work, it's best to go alcohol-free for now. ...Read more

Not relapse: 4.5 months is long enuf that the Accutane is probably already in the skin cells where it's fighting acne breakouts. Drinking alcohol while taking (or before taking) Accutane will cause an interaction and may be dangerous for your liver. But if the acne has completely gone away & there's no chance of a relapse (& no need to take Accutane again) then 1 or 2 drinks of alcohol may b OK. Talk to ur doc ...Read more
